IBM-NUST-SEECS Course on AIX Administration
24th March to 24th May, 2008

 

NUST Institute of IT has established a Linux Competency Center in partnership with IBM Pakistan with the aim of creating a resource pool of Linux, Open Source and IBM technology experts for government & non-government organizations. This center provides state-of-the-art IBM hardware and software resources of international standards with the focused goal of promoting Linux and IBM technologies, the fastest growing operating system/computing platform in the world and the biggest technology company in the world respectively.

A comprehensive course on IBM AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive), is being arranged at NUST Institute of IT from 24th March to 24th May, 2008 . AIX is an open standards-based, UNIX operating system which delivers high levels of security, integration, flexibility, performance and reliability. This course will be valuable for programmers, administrators and support personnel who need to understand the AIX operating system, existing shell scripts, automate procedures and write their own utilities. The course will be of 2 months duration and will be delivered by IBM professionals in form of 3 hours class per week.


Course Contents

The AIX course will be composed of three modules:-

  • AIX Basics (AU-13)
  • AIX System Administration I: Implementation (AU-14)
  • AIX System Administration II: Problem Determination (AU-16)
